Data-Driven CUI Assessment: Key Insights from the Cambridge Corrosion Conference 2026

It was a pleasure reconnecting with so many familiar faces and making new connections at the joint ICORR and EFC WP15 event – the Cambridge Corrosion Conference 2026: Digitalisation, AI, Monitoring – this week. The Corrology team had a fantastic time engaging with the community and sharing our latest innovations in the field.

A key highlight for us was presenting:
Development of a Framework for Integrated Thermal and Visual Image Data Analysis to Support Targeted CUI Inspection Planning.”

We believe that integrating advanced computer vision into inspection workflows is an important part of a holistic approach to CUI management. Rather than serving as a standalone solution, it functions as a practical tool to enhance early CUI detection within a broader, comprehensive strategy.

Many thanks to the organizers – we’re already looking forward to the next EFC WP15 Spring Meeting!

We have included our slide deck below for those who would like to learn more about our work.
